Friday Bookmarks

*What kind of reader are you? Are you the Anti-Reader, the Book Swagger, the Hate Reader, or the Cat? I think I'm 60% Multitasker, 40% All-the-Timer/Compulsive/Voracious/Anything Goes Reader. 

*For those of you who learned you're Book Snobs, check out the books you should be seen with in the next few weeks. And these will keep you going throughout fall.

*Get your popcorn ready, because the Globe will be screening three of its 2011 productions in cinemas across the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand starting September 26. And it's no one-off — the Globe plans to release a number of its performances annually. Up this year: All's Well That Ends Well, Much Ado About Nothing, and Doctor Faustus

*Joss Whedon does Shakespeare. Enough said. 

*Dear family and friends who read this blog — I would so love it if one of you would buy me this book for Christmas. Or a random Tuesday. 

*In the acknowledgments of her new novel, Zadie Smith thanks two productivity-enhancing, internet-blocking apps. But Ned Bauman says of the web, "It’s inextricably part of my method.” So, the internet — a creative bane or boon?
