National Geographic Traveler just published a list of its top 10 literary cities, and I'm very proud that the top-ranked city hails from my native land. Edinburgh was noted for inspiring more than 500 novels, hosting numerous literary pub crawls and walking tours, and for its Writers' Museum (pictured above), which features exhibits devoted to masters such as Robert Burns, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Sir Walter Scott.
