Welcome to 2011, folks! I hope you ushered in the New Year with style and panache. Myself, I had a lovely night in with my husband, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathon and a slew of whiskey sours, courtesy of the cold I picked up during our Christmas travels. Ah, the holidays.
I wasn't quite sure how to lead in this new year of the blog, but when I spotted this print on Etsy, I wanted to post about it immediately. The Anne series is near and dear to my heart, and I'll be reading and rereading the books until they fall apart, at which time I'll buy new copies and start the process anew. This Anne of Green Gables print is the work of Philadelphia-based seller elloh - known outside of Etsy as el lohse, who creates fabulous "art odes to pop culture and my own stories." (If you avidly follow all things Mad Men, you'll want to click here, here and here; if you prefer your men and women in the style of Austen, then this is for you. For a gut-busting laugh, try this.)
Her glorious limited-edition Anne of Green Gables print features Matthew, Anne, Marilla, Diana, Gilbert and Rachel Lynde in a 6x9" area printed on 8.5x11" 100% cotton fine art paper. Each print is signed, numbered and titled on the back, and el also offers the option to have the print stretched onto canvas and protectively coated for an additional fee. As is, the print will run you $35, with shipping to the U.S. costing $5, to Canada $6 and everywhere else $7.

I love Anne of Green Gables! This is strange timing because I just posted a photo of the Anne section of my bookshelf on my own blog today! (http://www.theotherdani.blogspot.com) Happy New Year! Love the blog, keep up the great work.
